What we offer Young, motivated team with a large and active student community Agile work environment with the possibility to work on various tasks for innovative medical applications Option for subsequent master thesis Modern office culture with flexible working hours Your Role Develop and test concepts for medical robotics, robot-assisted surgery Work on robotics, sensor signal processing and fusion, creation of models from sensor inputs as well as machine learning Evaluate concepts both in simulation and on real setups, get hands-on experience with robotics in the medical field Report and present your research results Work closely with experts in robotics, sensor signal processing, modeling, and medical technology, as part of an international project Work with researchers and engineers in a collaborative environment at the newly built ZEISS Innovation Hub Karlsruhe, right on site of the KIT-campus north Your Profile You are enrolled in a Bachelor/Master’s program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics (preferably) - alternatively, in Medical Technology, Physics, or comparable You have basic knowledge in robotics, modeling, and sensor processing You have programming knowledge in at least one of the following: Python, ROS, MATLAB, C++ Knowledge in optical sensing systems and especially optical coherence tomography is a plus Fluent English language skills A hands-on mentality, an open mind, excellent problem-solving, communication and innovation skills Passion for innovation and enthusiasm for innovative technologies as well as motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary teams We are looking forward to receiving your application documents (cover letter, CV, certificates).
