Your Role at ZEISS Digital Innovation
We develop tailored, market-defining health and manufacturing solutions for our clients. Our high level of industry expertise and broad understanding of technological innovations, coupled with an agile mindset, ensure speed and creativity in the development of innovative ideas, for example for digital medical products, medical devices and research solutions for medical technology, life science and pharmaceutical companies.
As Solution Specialist for Healthcare Applications, you advise our medical technology, pharmaceutical and life science clients on the implementation of their digital strategy, on developing new fields of business through innovative digital products and on functional definition and design of their software solutions. When initiating software development projects, you support our clients in gathering and documenting requirements, as well as in project planning and organization, to enable a successful project execution.
Your tasks include:
- Contribution to client presentations, project concepts, offers and other content for the communication with clients and the attraction of new clients
- Conducting client workshops and solution presentations
- Advising clients on challenges of implementing their digital strategy, designing new digital products and managing product requirements
- Close collaboration and relationship building with decision-makers at client organizations
- Identify needs, challenges, and solution options in the client’s organization
- Close collaboration with Sales to identify, attract and win new clients
- Setup of new software development projects and functional leadership of project team
- Creation of publications and presentations for industry-specific media and events

You will also need the following skills and experience:
- Multiple years of professional experience as requirements engineer, product owner, product manager, consultant or in technical sales
- Experience in medical technology, pharmaceutical or life science industry
- Ideally experience in consulting
- Sound experience in product management, product ownership or requirements management for software products
- Solid understanding of general business administration & economics
- Experience with industry-specific development processes and standards (e.g. ISO 13485, IEC 62304, etc.) as well as knowledge of common technologies and standards (e.g. HL7 FHIR, DICOM, SDC, etc.) in medical technology, pharmaceutical or life science industry
- Experience in implementation of software development projects using agile methods (in particular SCRUM) and in the use of common ideation and requirements engineering methods (e.g. design thinking, user story mapping, magic estimation, etc.)
- Knowledge of typical cybersecurity, data protection and usability requirements for healthcare software solutions
- Experience in stakeholder management and coaching
- Experience managing software development teams
- Willingness to travel
- Practical experience as moderator, conflict resolver, analyst, organizer and motivator
- Full business proficiency in both German and English
- Affinity to sales and business development
- Strong customer and result orientation
- Professional appearance as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
- High motivation to learn
- Commitment, trustworthiness, and team orientation
