Digital Business Innovation within ZDP is a cross-functional team that builds digital solutions, implements new business models, and drives strategic digital programs. We apply customer-centric methodologies like Design Thinking and Voice of the Customer and combine those with our business and strategy acumen.
Join us as a Working Student for Digital Technology Innovation, supporting our efforts to ignite a technology push from digital trends at ZEISS with the Digital Technology Trend Radar. Focused on customer-facing, digital technologies emerging in the market, you will support the Manager for Digital Technology Innovation in scouting activities, the qualification of use-cases for relevance and finally the building of strong Proof-of-Concepts that bring value to the strategic business units of ZEISS.
 

Your role

• Support the continuous process of our Digital Technology Trend Radar in close collaboration with the radar owner
• Assist in conducting extensive research on the latest digital technology trends contributing to our collective understanding of them
• Support the integration of these trends into our innovation roadmap
• Help organize, prepare for, and participate in cross-departmental workshops to identify and prioritise technologies
• Contribute to the creation of decision proposals and to compelling presentations to communicate these trends and next process steps to our internal stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with our cross-functional team ranging from digital experts and software developers to business owners

Your Profile

• Currently enrolled and successfully completed at least 3 years of study, preferably in business, natural sciences, informatics, or (business) engineering, with excellent university grades
• Initial experience (e.g. via internships) in the corporate world, tech industry, or management consulting
• A passion for digital technologies, market trends, innovation management, and a keen interest in our products and markets
• Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate both corporate and technical environments
• Strong MS Office skills (especially PowerPoint and Excel); experience with Azure DevOps is a plus
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
• You're proactive, with the ability to work well in a supporting role and contribute positively to team. processes, with a goal-oriented and output-oriented approach, and a "can do" attitude
