Your role

  • as a developer in optimization algorithmics (m/f/x), you will design, refine, and implement models and algorithms to optimize complex systems and integrate them into scalable software solutions
  • by analyzing and modeling complex systems, you will identify optimization potential and drive continuous improvements
  • you will conduct simulations and experiments to validate your algorithms and ensure their effectiveness
  • your responsibilities include coordinating across optical design, metrology, production, and customer interfaces, while overseeing system optimization and ensuring product performance - this includes planning simulations for future technologies, leading small expert teams, and supporting production in implementing new processes

Your profile

  • degree in mathematics, natural sciences, engineering, or a related field; a PhD is a plus
  • strong expertise in mathematical optimization, including modeling and applying mathematical tools to enhance complex systems
  • solid understanding of software architecture, with experience in modular and scalable system development
  • proficiency in software and algorithm development (MATLAB, Python, C#)
  • fluent German and English skills (C1 level) for working in an international environment
  • a creative and systematic problem-solver with a structured and team-oriented working style
