The Strategic Corporate Development department supports the development of ZEISS through strategic projects in all areas of the ZEISS Group (business units, corporate functions and country organisations). The experienced team brings in diverse perspectives from various industries and promotes a culture of creative exchange. With fresh ideas and innovative approaches, the team contributes to achieving the strategic goals of ZEISS and responding to the challenges of the future.
As a team, we advise top management on questions such as: What does the optimal strategy process look like? How do we best design operating models? Which structure should our country organisations have?
Your role
- Take charge of projects and act as a challenging partner in problem-solving
- Identify and understand the key drivers of business challenges
- Develop clear project approaches and define the scope of tasks
- Coordinate and lead project teams, consisting of cross-functional members and external consultants
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all hierarchy levels, including the Executive Board, and present your recommendations
- Conduct necessary analyses and derive data-driven recommendations
Your profile
- A degree with excellent grades in natural sciences, or engineering
- At least 4 years at one of the leading management consultancies, corporate strategy or other fast-paced strategy roles leading project teams
- Strong problem solving skills, results-orientation, project management, and communication skills
- Outstanding analytical competence, strategic and outside-the-box thinking
- Enjoy working in an agile way in networked, diverse, and interdisciplinary teams and passion for innovation and enthusiasm for new technologies
- Fluent English skills, German is a plus
